• I decided to not use the FB chat, but even though I deactivated and deleted the plugin, the chat is still on my website. I have cleared all my caches, even the ones on my host. I have re-downloaded and removed the plugin, twice and it still won’t go away. There was no code I had to edit when I first downloaded it and I am unable to disconnect from the Facebook side. How do I get rid of this chat?

    Hi @valkok,

I can see that the Chat plugin is installed on your website, but it is not through the official plugin for WordPress (the code is different). Are you running any other plugins that may have included the Facebook Chat plugin as an add-on, or did you manually add the plugin code yourself?

    Thanks,

I did not add any code myself. As a matter of fact, I didn’t even activate the chat plugin at first, but the icon showed up anyway. Since then, I have tried to download and activate it, then de-activate and delete twice, but the chat thing is still there. I don’t know of any plug-ins that may have added the chat. I can provide a list of the plug-ins I have if that helps?

The only other plug-in that I added was one called Chaty, but I have since de-activated and deleted that as well.

    Hi @valkok,

You could provide us with a list, for sure, and we can see if we can find the root cause. Alternatively you can disable all your active plugins and see if the Chat plugin is removed. If so, then you can reenable them one by one to figure out which one is embedding the code.

    Hope this helps,

It appears that NimbleBuilder is the culprit. How do I fix it?

FINALLY found it! It had inserted the code into one of the global headers.
