    Hi!

The chat icon disappeared from my website, I think after upgrading the plugin.

I checked and it seems all ok in the setup, the page is connected, how can I do?

(We received from Mobilemonkey an E-mail saying: “Hi,

We noticed that your Facebook Page has not applied for Subscription Messaging, a Facebook Page-level permission that allows you to send non-promotional messages (eg: news) to your Messenger subscribers. etc…”
is it necessary to apply for Subscription Messaging in order to use the plugin?)

    Thank you,

    Simona Ferraro

    Hi, @simo2606

In order to make the chat plugin appear please try the following:
    1. Disconnect the page
    2. Log out of FB
    3. Log in to FB
    4. Connect the page

After this, the script should appear on the website (please use Incognito mode to avoid cache effect)
    Another option is to:
    1. Go to Appearance -> Theme (or Theme Editor)
    2. Find on the right panel Theme Header (header.php)
    3. Paste in between <head> and </head> tags
    <script async=”async” src=”https://static.mobilemonkey.com/js/1682635985293857.js”></script&gt;

Subscription Messaging is related to those who are using promotional Chat Blaster or Drip Campaigns functionality. Facebook has a 24-hour rule, according to it, business page can send as many messages as required within the first 24-hours since opt-in event or the last conversation. Outside of this window, promotional messages can’t be sent. That is why companies request “Sponsored Messaging” approval from Facebook.
Here is how to do it.

This won’t affect those who only use the chat widget.

Thank you very much for your fast reply, In order to make the chat plugin appear please try the following:

    4. Connect the page

    solved the problem!

I had the same issue and none of the above worked.

I selected the Facebook page from Facebook -> settings (upper-right corner) -> Messenger Platform (menu on the left) -> scroll down towards “Customer chat plugin” -> click the set up button -> copy the code at the end and place it into the header of your website:

    1. Use a child theme
    2. Use Google Tag Manager -> custom Html tag (this way you have control over the pages where the chatbot appears)
    3. Use a plugin: Insert headers and footers

I hope this helps. It worked for: onegraphicstreet.com and darfil.ro

P.S.: don’t forget to delete your website’s cache (use a caching plugin) and then access it from incognito to see the changes.
