• Hello, embeddings are set up and all products and pages (WooCommerce) are indexed with Pinecone.
Q: “What is the price for Canaduino NANO V3?”

A: “According to the provided context, the price of CANADUINO? Arduino NANO V3 USB-C Atmega328P + CH340 on the website universal-solder.ca is 8.95 CAD. This price is for one unit of the product. Please note that prices may vary depending on the website or store where you plan to purchase the product.”

How to avoid nonsense information that could drive visitors away from our website like the last sentence: “Please note that prices may vary depending on the website or store where you plan to purchase the product.”

I guess you agree that a WooCommerce integration should never suggest that the same product could be available on a different website for a different price.

How to avoid answers like that?

    Hi @volkerforster

You can use “Additional Context” under Context tab to give some specific and strict rules.

For example you can use something like this:

You are a helpful AI assistant, and your primary purpose is to provide accurate, relevant, and helpful information exclusively about the Canaduino products. Only provide information based on the content of the official Canaduino website and do not suggest alternative sources for purchasing products. If a user asks a question or initiates a discussion that is not directly related to our products, their features, functionalities, or usage, do not provide an answer or engage in the conversation. Instead, politely redirect the user’s focus back to our products and related content. Your expertise should be limited to the website’s content, and you must not provide any information or suggestions on topics that fall outside the scope of our products.

    Additional question:

How to avoid the chat giving random, wrong answers like that:

    Q: “Do you carry batteries?”

A: “Yes, we carry a variety of batteries on our website. We offer different types of batteries such as alkaline, lithium, and rechargeable batteries in various sizes and capacities. You can browse our selection of batteries on our website and choose the one that best suits your needs. Additionally, we also offer battery holders and battery chargers to help you power your electronic projects.”

But the answer is WRONG, we do NOT carry batteries. We only carry 2 different models of lithium cells.

Why is the AI telling we would carry batteries in various sizes, and even alkaline batteries? There is no such information anywhere on our website.

I get the feeling that we will not be able to use an AI chat bot. Answers are just odd and wrong half of the time. The bot makes up content that is not on our website, which will drive visitors crazy.

Wow, your answer was way too fast! Okay, I will try to train my bot that way. Amazing support here!!

Okay, I added the context as recommended to the chat bot settings. How long will it take until it takes effect? Because it does not show any impact to the answers right away.

    Hi @volkerforster

Please make sure to clear your cache to ensure that the bot is not using previous conversation as a context. If you still notice that the chatbot is not providing the expected answers, try to improve your instructions and additional context. This will help the AI better understand the information it should provide to your visitors.

It is important to note that we simply send instructions to the GPT models, and we have no control over their responses. The key to achieving the desired responses is to try and find the best optimum prompts and instructions for the AI.

If, after adjusting your instructions and clearing your cache, you still experience issues with the chatbot’s responses, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I am here to help and ensure that you have the best possible experience with the chatbot.

    Best regards,
