• Ipagg, thank you for your continuous support. The last bug with adding a null entry now got much worse – it is deleting the last line now! I have discovered this after uploading a number of big charts and it was quite frustrating ??

In addition, the latest version of chartboot is adding a boatload of crap to the code – what is “xxx01xxx” doing in every single line? Is there a purpose to it? Also, why did you move away the two checkmarks to link to chartboot and border to a separate tab? And why did you change the size to 800 pixels? Now there are more extra clicks and changes involved ?? Also, the title does not get added to the chart sometimes. Not a critical issue, but another bug to report.

I really wish we could go back to the very first version of chartboot, where everything worked perfectly. Now it seems that the latest version is full of bugs and features that we do not want to see.

Very unfortunate, since this could be a superb plugin with no real competition!

    Hi MegaZ,

I’m needing an example of your data to reproduce the bug. With the tests I made I had a 1:1 between the source data and the chart data. Could you please paste here the content of your import data field?

Regarding the other points you are mentioning:

    – The management of the escaping of special characters with xxxYYxxx is not a matter of adding meaningless code, it’s the result of the study of a stronger solution to support the use of special characters.

    – Having a separate tab for the “Set Style” it’s a first move in the direction of allowing to add new features for the styling of the charts. I tested this approach in the Premium version of the plugin and I received positive feedback.

Thank you for your quick response Luca, I appreciate it.

Here is what happens with the Import data field. When copy-pasting information to this screen, the editor automatically inserts a blank line at the end. If you do not touch that blank line, the chart will display everything. If you delete the blank line, chartboot will wipe out the data for the last line. I have been deleting this blank line since the beginning, but it looks like you have changed the behavior of the import tool, so it needs that extra line. If that’s the case, let me know and I can continue using it without deleting the extra line.

If xxxYYxxx is needed for special characters, that’s good to know – I just did not know what it was for, since it was not there before. As for the Style tab, that’s fine with me, just wish I could go back to 625×325 pixels – that was the perfect size instead of 800. But if that’s what your customers want, then cannot do anything there.

Lastly, is there anything you can do so that Chartboot is inserted where the cursor is at the moment? It always inserts the charts at the very bottom, so I always have to copy-paste it to the right place. It would be awesome if this worked – I believe the issue has been there from the very beginning.

    Thank you so much!

    Sincerely,
    Nasim

Echo much of this. Took me a while to work out to add a carriage return to the data entry box in order not to lose the lost column of data in the graph.

It would save time to have Chartboot insert at the cursor.

Anyway, Google’s own website doesn’t work very well (image save doesn’t work) so this is already better. Thanks for your work on this.
