I have already created a shipping setup, the shipping is based on category, but what i want is, if the products added to the cart have same category shipping, it need to use one shipping only.

The Aerogaz Shipping Fee is cost 40.

The challenge here is the product is tagged with multiple categories.
    for example:
the product 1 is tagged with Aerogaz Shipping Fee, cooker hob
product 2 is tagged Aerogaz Shipping Fee, cooker hood

Since the product 1 and 2 has the same category of shipping which is ‘Aerogaz Shipping Fee’ need to charge 1 shipping only. Currently, it is charging 2 shipping fee, worth 80.

    Hey there ??

    Thanks for reaching out!

It looks like you’ve set up shipping based on categories but want to ensure that if products in the cart share the same shipping category, only one shipping fee is charged.

Currently, it seems that multiple shipping fees are being applied for products with the same shipping category, correct?

Just to better understand, can you clarify how you have set this up. Are you using Shipping classes, or perhaps a plugin?

To resolve this, you can utilize a plugin such as “Conditional Shipping and Payments” to set up more advanced shipping rules.

This can allow you to create shipping rules based on various conditions, including product categories, and specify how shipping fees should be calculated when products with the same category are in the cart.

Woo.com offers a 30-day refund policy which you can take advantage of, allowing you to test the extension, and make sure that it suits your needs.

Should you have any pre-sales-related questions, kindly contact us directly at?Woo.com → My Account → Support. You will need to create an account if you do not have one already.

    Cheers!

We just setup the shipping on Woocommerce -> Settings -> Shipping
The shipping cost is based on category, for example: Aerogaz Shipping Fee is cost $40.
    Here is the screenshot: https://ibb.co/pJkbC1T

The issue here is, if there are 2 products added to cart both tagged in Aerogaz Shipping Fee, it is charging 80, we want to only charge 40 since they’re using same category shipping.

You can try to add to cart this product (both category tagged ‘Aerogaz Shipping Fee’):
    1. https://ybhomestore.com.sg/shop/cooker-hobs/gas-hob/aerogaz-az-162f/
    2. https://ybhomestore.com.sg/shop/cooker-hood/slim-hood/aerogaz-slim-hood-az-6008/

When you go to the cart page after adding it, you will notice that it is charging 2 shipping.

    Hello rencley,

    Thank you for your reply.

Could you please clarify where is this screenshot from? It does not appear to be a core WooCommerce feature. Are you using a Plugin?

To help you further, I’d like to understand more about your setup.
Could you please send me a copy of your site’s System Status Report?
You can find it via WooCommerce > Status.
Select Get system report and then Copy for support.

Once you’ve done that, you can paste the text in https://gist.github.com
After that, you can paste the Gist link here in your reply.

Looking forward to your response. ??

    Hi there,

Thanks for the status report, that definitely helps ??

The screenshot you shared shows shipping settings that doesn’t currently exist in the options for any of the shipping methods that come with the core WooCommerce plugin. This means, there’s another plugin at play that’s providing those options.

Looking at the status report you shared, it seems like this might be coming from WooCommerce Table Rate Shipping: by Bolder Elements – 4.3.9

Practically speaking, this means that you’d need to get in touch with their support directly for more support on this. If you’re wondering, their support team can be reached at: https://codecanyon.net/item/table-rate-shipping-for-woocommerce/3796656/support

    Hope it helps!

    Hi,

Thank you looking for this and possible solutions. We will try this.

Also, I found a temporary solution, which is to create coupons that can be applied for specific categories. It is working but it takes time to create since we will create coupons for every shipping category and usage restrictions for min-max quantity.

    Thank you.

After checking, the plugin you sent is the one we already using, the shipping setup that I have sent you (screenshot) is created using Table Rate Shipping for WooCommerce By bolderelements.

So it looks like we need to use temporary solutions, or create php code for this.

    Thanks.

    Hi @rencley,

It’s great to hear that you’ve found a temporary solution by creating coupons for specific categories. While it does require some effort, it’s a good workaround for the time being.

Meanwhile, should you have further inquiries, kindly create a new topic here.

    Thanks!
