Characters replaced in the text editor after saving

  • Hello, i’m trying to understand a strange Elementor text editor behaviour i came across, and i’d like to find a fix or a workaround.
    If i write an apostrophe ‘ or minus – symbol in the text-editor they get changed after saving the layout, and this is boring because sometime this generates some graphic glitches.

    The ‘ becomes ’ and the minus – becomes a longer dash character –

    Is there any way to avoid this behaviour? This is nothing related to fonts at all.
    If i change these symbols from the developer console, the right characters show up corrrectly.

    The content gets processed by Elementor itself.

    Any help would be really appreciated. Thank you.

    Hi, thank you for your kind reply.
    Every website built with Elementor (Free or Pro) has the same behaviour (i have also an active PRO Agency subscription). Just today i decided to write to ask for more info about it. Any way to send you the link in a hidden way?

    I wrote here because the issue/bug/behaviour is also on the free version. If you think is better to open a ticket on my.elementor.com i will do it.

    Then you cannot ask for Elementor support here.

    You are an Elementor Pro user. The developer can’t have a conversation with customers here. That’s not permitted for anyone.

    For pro or commercial product support please contact the developer directly on their site. This includes any pre-sales topics as well.

    As the developer is aware, commercial products are not supported in these forums. I am sure they will have no problem supporting you there.
