Characters in Product Name

    Hello, I need some help understanding what characters are ok to use in the “Product Name” section.

    I’ve been using a spreadsheet to upload products. For now, I’m just testing some things out but I’ve found that when I use quotation marks in place of the actual word “inches” the rest of my product name disappears.

    For example in the last category on my sample page link, the category is “Smallwares” and the product should read “18” wooden spoon” but once uploaded the quotation mark symbolizing inches is gone along with the rest of the product name so that all you see is 18. It doesn’t seem to happen all the time as you’ll notice the other products in “Smallwares” came through just fine. Is there a way to use a quotation mark as a product name and keep the integrity of the product names when you update them?

    Aside from the “18” wooden spoon”, is this occurring on any other products?

    We just checked the link you sent and “18” Wooden Spoon” seemed to be displaying the full title. One thing we did notice was that instead of reading $6.50 as the price, it was $$6.50 (the extra ‘$’ may have caused an issue).

    Well now I’ve noticed that when I import the products they display with the correct product name, but if I then go in to change something about the description or something through the individual product page in WordPress the product name reverts back to only showing everything before the quotation marks. So I guess if I don’t need to change anything on the product page I’m all set but if I need to change something I also have to type out the product name as well. Again this is only happening on products with the quotation marks in the product name.

    In that case, could you try replacing those quotation marks with “"” and see if that makes a difference.
