• We’ve had two live stream events today and neither of them worked using the “Embed a live stream or premiere video.” option.

Where the video should appear it now says “Video unavailable. This video is unavailable”.

Right clicking this message and selecting “Copy video URL” copies this URL

    https://youtu.be/live_stream

while selecting the “Copy embed code” gives this

    <iframe width="1303" height="733" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/live_stream" title="YouTube video player" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

When we embed the live stream directly using the “Embed a single video.” option it works fine.

Also, one other small issue, the “Insert Into Editor” button no longer works and we have to copy and paste it, but like I said that’s a very minor inconvenience.

    Hope you can help.

    Many thanks.

    Hi,

Can you check your YouTube API quota? Perhaps you can also create a sample page that recreates the scenario you just had so that we can investigate.

    Hi there,

No I didn’t know that the above code could display if there was an issue with the API quota.

I always thought that the standard API quota warning notification would be displayed when that issue existed.

Since playlists embeds on other pages worked without displaying the API quota error message, I didn’t think to check the quota.

Would embedding a live stream directly using the “Embed a single video.” option still work if there was an issue with the API quota?

    Thanks for your help.

Channel based embedding uses the API while Embed single video doesn’t. Perhaps you can provide the short code you entered — and even better, a link to a sample page with the issue.

Here is the code you asked for:

    [embedyt] https://www.youtube.com/embed/live_stream?channel=UCqvjEkH_41m4DYaoNQwk4Bw&width=640&height=360&autoplay=1[/embedyt]

For security reasons I’m not allowed to post links to our site and www.remarpro.com does not allow me to delete them later.

    Thanks for your help.

Is there currently a scheduled live stream in that channel (i.e. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCqvjEkH_41m4DYaoNQwk4Bw) ?

If so, can you send the direct link to that stream’s page?

Also, what do you see when you try this shortcode:
    [embedyt] https://www.youtube.com/embed/live_stream?channel=UCifvPN9j4Y-G0naamtiweCQ&autoplay=1%5B/embedyt%5D
