Changing wp installation from /folder/ to root

  • Hello

    A quick question…

    I am changing a WP installation from a folder to the root of a domain…

    If say I have setup 301 redirects in a plugin, if I follow the Wp guide to moving a WP installation will all settings for plugins remain??

    The 301 plugin is my main concearn as I am repacing a 300 page site with a WP one and want to setup the redirects prior to change over

    I have just had a crack at moving the index and leaving WP in folder, it works fine after moving the Wp .htacess and does what i need without showing where the wp installation is in the URL bar.

    Does this affect any seo or does the above style of installation appear as its all in the root to google??
