• Hello.

I’ve done a manual installation of WordPress on my webserver. On the root of the server the there is a “www” folder, and in that folder, I copied the “wordpress” folder with all its contents. I then proceeded to install WordPress, but I noticed that I can only access my website if I go to my-website.com/wordpress/ instead of my-website.com

That bothered me so I looked for a way to resolve this. I went to WordPress control panel > settings > general and changed the “Site Address (URL)”: field to “my-website.com”, but it doesn’t work. I still have to visit my-website.com/wordpress/ to access the website.

How can I effectively resolve this (I want to be able to visit my website by visiting my-website.com)?

    Thanks in advance.
