Changing WordPress Website URL Address

  • I want to change my current WordPress website URL (https://superduperproducts.com) hosted by iPage. iPage.com says that they can not change it. So I read this article: Changing The Site URL

    I followed the method that includes the editing of the functions.php file. I can do it myself and I’ve also copied the functions.php file in case of any problem; but I need a suggestion.

    Is it safe to do it?

    When I change the URL to any other URL address I want, will my website load the correct way?

    Will I and my visitors use the new URL to load my website?
