Somehow my site admin email address got set to an invalid email. Now I need to change to the admin email address to my own, however, when I do this I get a confirmation link via email that sends me to a 404 on my site.

Is there a way to edit this in the MySQL database without confirmation? Why wouldn’t the confirmation email link work?

    Thank you!

To check the users’s Email, look closer at the key/value pairs inside the wp_usermeta table.

I ended up solving it using the Better Search & Replace plugin for WordPress because I couldn’t get immediate access to MySQL. I know this feature is for security, but it’s quite annoying when you’re trying to help clients manage their sites.
