• Hello, Im very new to wordpress, but learned a lot in the last days.

I am developing the site https://nerybauer.com/SBWP2/ (temp server, and temp text/imgs). I would like to have it the most identical possible to https://www.archents.com/ . Probably one of the first changes I should make is the width of the page, that is very different. I walked through the code with chrome inspector, but no luck at it. I found someting similar to what I need in this forum, changed width in #main-wrapper, but no luck.

Is there a way to achieve it just using Custom CSS, without having to create a child theme?

    Thanks very much

  • Hi Neryba,

Under Customiz’it, go to “Pages & Posts Layout”.
From the drop down menu “Choose the global default layout”, you can choose “No side bars: full width”.

You can also do this for every page individually.

Thanks very much for your help and reply, gscohier. But I believe I didnt explained myself well.

What I need is that the page dont use the full width of the browser, but instead, something like 75%, centered, keeping some blank space in both sides of the browser.

I dont know exactly how to call it, but I want that the wrapper, or the container, of the full website, in all pages, be smaller in the width.

I would like to have it the most identical possible to https://www.archents.com/

If this really is your aim, then I would start with a theme that is nearer your end-result than Customizr is.

Thanks for your reply, ElectricFeet. I searched zillions of themes, the only one that I could find that would offer what I needed was this one. Does someone has a suggestion for one that would fit better?

Hatch, Bota and Virtue? BUt equally, perhaps a stripped-down Customizr could be the way to go.

If you stick with Customizr, note that with reference to your first question about changing the width of the page: Apart from the slider, the archents.com page is a very similar width to Customizr.
