• Hi i wish the change the location of where wordpress uploads. So my site was on example.com if I was uploading an image using the upload form, it would be on example2.com.

So somewhere in the code i would put the connection details for the other site ftp.

    How can I do this?

  • I don’t think you can upload via WordPress to another domain, you can change the directory via the dashboard under Options Misc.

    Does anyne have a way?

Many bloggers store their images in/on Flickr – and link there. Search, read, try.

Yeah, I know but I am uploading files, content, etc. I have another server with much higher bandwidth that I want to hold the downloadable content on. It will take me ages to write in the URL for every image + file!
If I use the current upload server I will end up paying lots.

    Any ideas?

Move your blog to the server with higher bandwidth. As it was said above: we don’t know of any way to do what you’d like.

I don’t suggest or condone editing core files, but if you are comfortable with PHP and editing those files, it’s handled in functions-post.php, starts at line 883.

    You’ve been warned ??
