Changing to Fancy Permalinks

  • If I change now, after 40 or so posts, to fancy permalinks does that change all my previous posts to the fancy (post name) format? Or does it only apply to new posts?

    Yes, I’m also about ready to pull the trigger on 2.3.1. It’s just a little daunting and I want make sure I have all my ducks in a row.

  • Yes, it will change it for everything, including all your existing posts, categories, Pages, monthly archives… basically all your internal links.
