The plugin DOES NOT seem to be updating the URI when the Post title is changed.

It DOES update the URIL when the category associated with the Post is changed.

    Hi @mlisondra,

by default my plugin uses the native slug for the custom permalink. The native slug is not updated when the title is changed.

Please enable “Force custom slugs” in Permalink Manager settings. After that, the custom permalink will use not the native slug but the current post/page title.

    Maciej

    Hi Maciej,

I enabled that setting and it I noticed that the title is now reflected in the custom permalink.
However, I noticed that the category that the post belongs to is no longer used in the custom permalink.
    Is this the proper behavior?

    Hi @mlisondra,

No, there is something wrong. Could you provide me with the screenshots:
    * with Permalink Manager box opened (so I can see how default URI & current URI look like)
    * with your current permastructure settings

    Best regards,
    Maciej

    Maciej,

I don’t think I can add screenshots to this post so here are URLs to them instead.

Please change your permastructure settings to:

    Hi Maciej,

It appears to be working as expected.
We will run more tests and follow up, if needed.

    Hi Maciej,

Does the plugin ( FREE or PREMIUM ) manage redirecting old permalinks?

For example, if I change the title or category of a Post, the URI changes.
It renders the previous URI as a 404.

    Thanks.

    Hi Milder,

yes, the redirects for old permalinks are created automatically in Permalink Manager Pro when ‘Auto-create “Extra Redirects” for old permalinks‘ option is enabled in plugin settings.

Have you had a chance to do further testing on initial issue?

    Best regards,
    Maciej

    Hi Maciej,

    Thanks for the information.

Yes, we ran further tests and the URI does change correctly when changing either the Post Title or the Category that the Post is associated with.

    Marciej,

    Just to be clear.
How may versions of a URI are retained?

    Plugin Author Maciej Bis

    (@mbis)

There is no limit, the redirects for old custom permalinks are stored in another array (they can be edited on “Edit post/page/category/custom term” page).

    Mariej,

In order to install Permalink Pro, do I need to deactivate or uninstall the free version?

    Plugin Author Maciej Bis

    (@mbis)

It is enough if you disable/deactivate the free version of plugin.

    Maciej,

Regarding a previous comment you made:

    Where is this page?
