Changing thumbnail size?

  • I’d like to change the default size of thumbnails that are created during the image upload process. Anyone know where this may be at?

  • you have to do it manually in the post or else dig through boatloads of wordpress source code…

    Thanks for the reply. I’ll go the “digging” route for now. And I think I just found my idea for a first plugin.

    Another aspect of it is how to make Using Original the default as opposed to Using Tumbnail

    Mmmhmm. Yep… that’d be good, too. Anybody have a suggestion about what kind of plugin would be best suited for this? I’m not sure how this fits into the various plugin types that can be coded.

    FWIW, here’s my use-case for having a different thumbnail size… I’m displaying screen shots as part of a portfolio. I’d like for the thumbnails to be large enough to give a feel of the whole screen:
