• Hi there,
    my problem is concerning the $table_prefix = 'wp2_'; portion of the config file, and my database.

    I just recently installed a second copy of wordpress on my server. I created a separate database for the second install of wordpress.

    The first db is $table_prefix = ‘wp_’;

    The second db is $table_prefix = ‘wp2_’;

    I exported the first database according to https://www.tamba2.org.uk/wordpress/backup/, and re-imported it according to Podz https://www.tamba2.org.uk/wordpress/restore/

    The data that i imported was from the first database, and the $table_prefix = 'wp_'; had only a ‘wp_’ prefix to the tables. The site didnt work, of course, it wanted me to run the wp_install file again… I didnt.

    Instead I went in and renamed the tables in the second DB to “wp2_…” thinking that my second install of WP would recognize the tables.
    Still not working.
    I would appreciate any help what so ever on this issue. I have been trying to set up this copy of my site to do development work on for about a week now…
    thanks.
