    Hi All!

I’m new to the world of WordPress, It’s really amazing but the down side (which I believe) is that the entire work is based on Coding which makes it almost impossible for the starters to work. Where as the Blogger is quite simple to work and the entire work is based on “Drag n’ Drop”.

But still, WP is the Innovation and is Great!

Okay, now coming to the point.

I’ve started my new Tech-Blog(Pre-Launch) working on the content and design…

Can you guys tell me how to change the Slogan of the Blog, the default Slogan is “Just another WordPress weblog”, So how to change it?

    My Blog: MadXperts

    Please help!!

Edit Title and Tagline. The same screen you edited the Title

    Hi,
I’d like to ask an additional question:
Where in the header.php can I change the tagline to make it a link? The blog title is good to link to the home directory. But just the tagline should link to a different site (my homepage). I had that figured out before, but after I updated my theme, it is deleted, of course. I doesn’t seem not work with my earlier try.
    Any hint is very welcome!

    Thanks in advance!

With the disclaimer that I have not tried this:

In my Theme’s header.php there is this line:

    <p><?php bloginfo('description'); ?></p>

I would try replacing all the stuff between the ‘<p> </p>’ with your new text and link. If you are not familiar with html code then go into your Post editor and put in your text and then convert the text to a link, then switch to html view and copy the html code and paste into the above.

    Good luck

ps – put a comment in the header.php and save to to your PC or save both the old and new versions on your PC in a folder called Online Changes or something like that so the change information is not lost.

Thanks a lot for the tip! Once I found the code, it worked fine.

    Cheers!
