changing the image in the navigation bar / menu

Hello,

Just give background-size content to the header by visiting Background Styles in options of that header row.
You can do further tweaking for your desired result.

When I on on that page, I click on the header location and it does not give the edit options like the other parts of the page

Visit Pagelayer -> Theme Templates page, there you find header template. Just click on edit with pagelayer link and you are redirected to a editor where you can easily edit the header.

I was in Dashboard
I went to Appearence
then Themes
Then customiz
then I chose
Edit Header, Footer, pages
Then I choose Header
then it opens up page layer
Then I choose the section where the navigation bar is at, click on thre pencil icon

Say edit primary menu

Most options say Pro in red letters

I clicked on settings and I changed the color of the so at least the navigation bar is visible.
If I pick the blank space next to the navigation bar
then I choose background type options are None / Video / Parallax / Slider
but nothing for single image.

Am I in the correct area???

at least I was able to change the nav bar background color to make it visible.

Hello,

To insert image in the row background or header background. First click on the row pencil button so that row editing settings are visible.

Then click on the option and inside this you find “Background Style” dropdown. There you find the image selection button. Just click on this and insert image also adjust the position of the image according to the header.
