    Hi guys. I am setting up a site to sell video stock footage using the Sell Media plugin from Graph Paper Press. I am able to upload large (>1GB)files to the site and “purchase them” which sends a link to the file by email.

    Problem is when I click on the link for a file of 100MB or more the download starts and immediately finishes and only gives me a 1KB file with the name of the clip and nothing else. There are no error codes. Files of around 10MB download with no problem.

    There is no limit set by my host, so the limit appears to be a WordPress issue.

    Ideally I want to be able to offer files of up to 1GB. Any advice or direction very welcome.

    What did the plugin author say about this?

    Hi Andrew. This was the reply from the plug-in author:

    Thanks for using Sell Media. Unfortunately there isn’t a setting to increase your download rate. Theres various factors that affect download rates such as;

    The clients internet connection
    The number of your customers visiting your site
    The amount of bandwidth you’ve used (provided and determined by your web host)
    I would suggest contacting your web hosting provider and looking to see what your download rates are.

    I checked this with the host who told me there is not limit. I am double checking in case the host (1and1) pre-sets the PHP memory limit.
