changing the ending of the excerpt

    i’d like to change the excerpt endings […] globally into +++, where can i do this?

  • You can either edit WP core files (not recommended) or you can find a plugin in the Extend section above that lets you modify the excerpt.

    You’ll have to go into the core of the code. Now why you’d want to is beyond me. But that’s what you’ll have to do. It’s not user-customizable. If you think it should be, post a request in the Requests section of this forum. In cases where you see the excerpt displayed this way, the Title of the post is clickable. That […] is just there to let people know it’s an excerpt.

    Now as to WHERE in the WP code this might be found, I have no idea. I guess just open the files in Notepad and look for the text string [...]. Good luck.
