Changing the background color for the search

Try putting this into your CSS file:

background-color: #ffcc00;
}

The search box takes its bg from somewhere very low down in the stack. prolly #content or #rap might do it.

background-color: #ffff00;

That is funny. ?? I tried the above css modification, and it changed the color of the search button, not the input box. ??

Find this in your stylesheet:
#nav input#s {
width: 80%;
background: #XXX;
border: 1px solid #c00;
color: #DBA535;
}
replace the XXX with your values.
