Changing the background

Hi,

I wanted to change my theme background from a paper look to probably just white. I definitely want to change the blog text body backgrounds. I tried the Background Manager plug-in and “Adding Theme Support’. Under Appearance I do not have a Background option.

It looks like there’s PHP code involved but I can’t figure this out. It seems like it should be easy to change backgrounds.
