Changing the ajax loader image on checkout screen

I’d like to have a larger “processing” .GIF for the checkout screen and so I swapped both the “ajax-loader.gif” and “[email protected]” and that worked…the image changed, but it’s stuck at 16×16 pixels and my new image is 130×130.
I looked through all of the .js files and found two instances of the 16×16 so I changed those…that didn’t work. Then I looked through all of the CSS files and found two more instances of the 16×16 and changed those…still didn’t work.
Anyone have an idea where this 16×16 is set on the ajax loader image?
