Changing start page

  • Hi,

    I saw the information for this posted somewhere but can’t find it now. I am using Enigma free, I would like to disable the start page. As in, I would like the start page to be another page other than the default but I cannot find out how to do that. Any help would be appreciated.

    TL:DR. instead of the default home page with sliders, etc, to be the start page I would like it to be a page of my choosing.

    Try this for a fix:

    1) Within the WordPress admin dashboard, go to Settings > Reading.

    2) Under the Reading Settings, you will see a drop-down option for ‘front page displays’.

    3) Click on the ‘A static page’ radio button to enable yourself to use the drop-down menu to select your preferred page.

    4) Click on the ‘Save Changes’ button.

    In addition to what Liam suggested, you also need to make a setting change within the theme as follows:
    Appearance => Customize => Theme Options => General Theme Options => Show Front Page (uncheck)

    Oh, I was skeptical as information I thought I was looking for was some coding changes. But the combination here does accomplish it, thank you both of you!
