Changing spacing of ” …” and reducing bottom padding

Love the plugin!

I was just wondering if it’s possible to remove the space before the ellipses that signify that the post excerpt continues?

At the moment, it looks like:

“Horses eat hay …”

I’d like to have it as:

“Horses eat hay…”

Also, I find that the shortcode adds a little bit of white space underneath the grid (using a 2×2 layout). It looks like there’s an extra blank line under the grid, but not at the top. Is there a way to change this?
