Changing slider speed

  • Hello,

    I am designing this website for my client, and need to be able to change the speed of the slider on the landing page. Could you guide me, please, through this. I have access of course to FTP, and am working, at present, on a child theme.

    We appreciate your writing in.

    To change your slider speed setting you can navigate to your theme editor file. Go to .js file > himalayas.js file. The code line from 111-122 denotes the slider related controls. Now you can change the slider speed setting by decreasing or increasing the value of the slider (line no 116). Kindly check this screenshot

    Thank you very much, Barsha. May I ask, please, also, whether these are to be made in the parent theme itself, or should I copy in (or do something additionally) the himalayas.js file into the child theme and that will work?

    Thank you for writing in.

    You need to create a separate himalayas.js file and include it in the location mentioned above in your child theme.
