Is it possible to add a setting where we can change the shortcode? Yoast automatically adds html anchors for headings, so now every heading id starts with h-auto-list-number. I’d rather have something shorter like ‘h-aln’.

@mrclean123 are you using Gutenberg? You can click the advanced area of the heading and remove the tag from the ID (I have to commonly do this on my sites) let me know if that helps! I’ll also look into adding a shortened tag.

Is there a more efficient way to do this? I publish so much content seems like a massive waste of time to manually do this for each heading. I’ve reached out to Yoast to see if I can stop the id’s from auto filling in the first place. Oh, and thanks for considering adding a shorter tag.

@mrclean123 Keep me posted because I would love to filter that personally, I hate how it adds h- as well. To my knowledge there isn’t much I can do besides make a shorter shortcode.

Turns out it was my theme adding it, not Yoast.
