The business listing post is asking for approval by submitting other users, after approval by admin, it is changing the author as admin & not showing the post as like other (other post).

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Not sure what to suggest here as CPTUI and as far as I’ve ever seen, WordPress core alone hasn’t ever really had approval regarding author ownership, unless I’m completely misreading the actual issue.

    no, I didn’t mean that

I created 2 custom post types, one is approving posts without being pending & another one after submission from frontend by another author, coming to me (admin) for being published as “pending”, if I publish this post, it is changing the author name as admin, where it should be the same as who submitted it from the front end. hope this clears the issue.

Kind of feels like editorial workflow issues more than anything, especially around the pending/approving part. All of that is usually based on user roles. Also if this includes some sort of frontend form, I’m wondering if it’s posting with a default status of “publish” instead of “pending” or similar.

Unsure about the authorship part as I would think that’d be set already, unless these posts don’t have that value, and you being the one to click publish end up filling it in. To help spotcheck that, perhaps add “author” support to the questioned post types so that you can double check that box before publishing?
