    Hi,

    not from the wordpress back end, you would have to modify the plugin core files and that would make your upgrade process a bit more complicated.

    Might there be a way to implement this? If not – is this something that can be achieved through the custom posts as I have no requirement for places?

    only through the addon custom post types this can be achieved without editing core files.
