Changing permalink structure = lose all facebook comments?

  • Hi!

    I want to change the permalink structure on my blog and when I do so, I lose all my facebook likes and comments. As soon as I change back to my original default permalink structure, they re-appear.

    How can I change my permalink structure without losing all previous/current facebook comments?

  • Consider yourself lucky. I changed my permalink structure back after changing it but lost my Facebook likes and Google+ recommendations.

    Yup, ran into the same problem today. Very lame. Although, I’m sticking to my new permalink structure, that is /%post_id%-%postname%/ for performance purposes.
