Changing Permalink Structure: Hurting Archived SEO?

  • Hello,
    I’d like to change my permalink structure to exclude the YYYY/MM/DD directories in the URL. Afterward, the URL will only show the domain and the post title.

    If I do so, will the existing pages that are already indexed by google and have strong placement be removed? Will google keep those where they are in their index?

    If not, do you have any suggestions on how I can fix this? Perhaps a redirect?
