Changing Pending Status to Draft without Publish button

Hi,

Thanks for your great plugin.

I’ve created a role which is that of a WP Editor without publishing rights.

We call it ‘Assistant Editor’. So, for this role she can:

Edit her own articles and edit other writer’s articles – especially those set to ‘Pending’ status (for review).

However, need to give her the capability to set ‘Pending’ back to ‘Draft’ status.

How can this be achieved?

I can only see this option for people who have the publishing button:

Please advise?

Happy to edit functions.php or any other code if you can provide guidance.
