  • Hey there, @collinshamus! Thanks for contacting us. I’m happy to help you.

Are you using the default WooCommerce customer account or do you use any plugins to handle it?

Are you doing this while logged in to your admin account or on a different browser/incognito window?

Do you mind sharing the exact steps you take that trigger the issue so we can try to replicate it?

    Looking forward to your reply.

    Have a wonderful day!

Yes, Default woocommerce customer account. These are customer accounts and I am trying to change the password using the default woocommerce “Account Details” Page, not the wordpress dashboard user area.

When I click ‘account details’ and enter my current password and my new password twice and save changes the password changes but I get redirected to the screenshot in my initial post where it says “Security Violated”

It does send a ‘your password was changed’ email to the user.

    Hi @collinshamus

The issue you’re experiencing seems to be related to a security feature of your website. When you change the password, the system might be detecting this as a potential security threat, hence the “Security Violated” message.

Here are a few steps you can try to resolve the issue:

    1. Try disabling all plugins except WooCommerce to see if the issue persists. If the issue is resolved, you can enable them one by one to identify the problematic plugin.
    2. If the issue persists with all plugins disabled, try switching to a default WordPress theme like Twenty Twenty-Four to check if your theme is causing the issue.

I hope this helps! Please let us know how it goes or if you need further assistance.
