• Is there some trick to changing page order? I added a new page to my site, which I wanted to insert into position #4 (i.e. just before my blog page, which was in position #4, but now I want to be in position #5).

When I created the new page, I used 4 in the Page Order field, and I changed the Page Order field on my blog page to be 5. But the new page continues to show up last.

  • what order are you referring to?

    – in the dashboard?
    – in the menu in your site?
    — what code are you using for the menu?
    — are you using a custom menu?

    what theme are you using?

I’m using the Suffusion theme and no custom code. The page order field I’m talking about is the Order field under Page Attributes on my Edit Page screen. I’m trying to get the pages to show in a specific order (mostly to get my blog page at the far right) on my web site presentataion.

If you are trying to reorder the menu, just drag the menu items to the order you want them. You can create sub menu by placing items under an item to the right just a little.

When I look at my list of pages on the Pages page of my dashboard, they show up in the correct order.

I assumed this was a basic WordPress question, but if it makes more sense for me to ask on the Suffusion forum, I’ll do that.
