Changing page background colour in twenty fourteen

  • Changing page background colour in twenty fourteen. I know this has been a well-covered topic but I am getting ABSOLUTELY nowhere with solving this issue. Inserting code is fine on the screen but when I look where to put it in the style sheet it makes no sense at all. I tried Fourteen colours/background per page plugins and they have no effect. Any takers? All I want is for ALL my page/post background colours to be the same, dark grey……..ie NOT white! I have wasted so much time trying to solve this issue.
