Changing # of Total Enrolled

Once someone enrolls for a course is there any way to remove them so that the “Total Enrolled” number updates to reflect that? or once enrolled, always enrolled?

I’m hopefully overlooking something, but the only option I see that (I thought) would affect this number is removing a student. But this doesn’t affect the Total Enrolled number; and it actually removes the entire account.

So wordpress Users are everybody whose created an account. Tutor LMS Students are everybody with an account who has also enrolled for a course. But removing a Student will extend past that context…is this correct?
