    HEEEEEEELP!!!

    I had a blogger and decided to change to WP, so I gave the directory a different name than the intended (/blog/). After ensuring that everything worked as I wanted, I tried to change the directory and now I can’t get into my administration again… HEEEELP!

    This is the message showed:

    Warning: require_once(D:\home\profetadk\www\blog/wp-includes/wp-db.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in D:\home\profetadk\www\blog\wp-settings.php on line 73

    Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required ‘D:\home\profetadk\www\blog/wp-includes/wp-db.php’ (include_path=’.;C:\php5\pear’) in D:\home\profetadk\www\blog\wp-settings.php on line 73

  • There is a field in the admin-gui, where you can change the URL. You should do that immediately before changing the directory.

    Or you can change the URL directly in the database (in ?_options).

    I thought I’ve done that… Now I can’t get into my admin account….

    I’ve thought about starting from scratch, but I need to clean my old database – and I can’t figure out how to do that either

    Then there are two ways:
    – Change the pathname back and look into the admin panel (general options)
    – Use phpmyadmin (or whatever DB-Tool) to change it in the table prefix_optionsst in the entries: siteurl (maybe fileupload_url) and home.

    Hey again… I guess my despair happened because my FTP stopped uploading the new WP files…

    I guess, I’m in business again!

    Thanks anyway!
