Got me in a bit of a pickle and I locked myself out of one of the multisite sites. I need to change the domain for the multisite (not the primary domain, one of the multisite domains). How do I do this in MySQL as it seems this is how I need to do it, My Sites in companion dashbord does not seem to offer this option.

  • The best bet is to go into the network dashboard as a superadmin and use the site editor.

    That’s…

Dashboard –> Network Admin –> Sites

Choose the subsite you need to change, hit edit, and select info. The two addresses are right at the top normally.

You can’t change the main site’s address there but any superadmin should be able to change any of the others as needed.

You can do the changes via the database but that’s never a good idea unless necessary and a backup of the database should be done before doing any database edits.

There is no edit option, just Visit and Dashboard.

I checked and I am a Super Admin.

Looks like they changed the interface.

You are looking at ‘My Sites’ Instead of navigating to the ‘sites’ list page under Network Admin…

Dashboard –> Network Admin –> Sites
