Changing meta description of homepage

Hi, I’m trying to change the meta description of my homepage. I clicked on SEO> Titles &Metas > Home, and changed the meta under Meta description template, but it remains the same and Google keeps pulling a different meta tag from my homepage… Am I doing something wrong?
