Changing menu item layout in Twenty Eleven 1.2 theme
-
I am using the Twenty Eleven 1.2 theme, and I have activated the “Pages” widget by dragging it into the “Main Sidebar” in Dashboard. This allows me to display all my menu items along the left-hand-side sidebar. However, I want to change the way the menu items listed appear.
In particular, by default, the items appear in bold text. Instead, I want them to appear as normal text, and become bold only when I hover my mouse over any item. Also, when selected, I would like that particular menu item to appear bold and italicized. Finally, I also want to change the bullets used for these items to something else. Since this is my first time using WordPress and creating a website, I am totally lost. I know that I probably have to make some change to the ‘style.css’ file (which I’m accessing from: Dashboard -> Appearance -> Editor). However, I can’t figure out what to change or how to change it. Can anyone help?
