Changing markup without hacking the plugin

  • Hello!

    I have to change some of the markup generated by the plugin, but I cannot seem to find any hooks or settings for that. For example, I’d like to remove the a-Tag from .dwqa-date and remove the public/private-dropdown (which does not seem to be affected by my WP backend settings at all). I’d love to change these things without hacking the plugin, because I want it to remain upgradable.

  • Hey,
    you can change the DW Q&A template by creating a new folder called “dwqa-templates” in your theme folder (/wp-content/themes/your-theme-name/), and copy all the .php files from “/wp-content/plugins/dw-question-answer/inc/templates/default/” to the new folder. After that, you can modify/change all template files without any effect on the Q&A plugin.
