I’m trying to figure out how to change the content of the ProfitMag theme. I’m referring to the content that has the pictures of the camera, speakers, boardwalk, and such.

I’ve read about child themes but I’m wondering if the current content is all static html/css, or if it is stored in a database. I’ve read that it is all stored in the WordPress database and that it can be swapped out there, but haven’t seen a description of the process.

Is there a way to swap out the different camera/speaker/etc. images without using html/css, without creating a ‘child theme’, or without changing stuff in the database? I like the current layout of content and would like to stick with it as it is presented in the default layout.

    Thanks much.

I figured out that I can create a category and assign that category to the ‘Featured Block’ section, but I don’t know how to maintain the style of the ‘Featured Block’ section. Is the style of the ‘Featured Block outside of the code of the ProfitMag Theme?

    Thanks

Ok, I figured out how to add content to main page.

First, create a category by going to Posts > Categories > Add New Category

Secondly, create posts, insert a ‘featured image’ on the bottom right, and assign the new posts to the newly created category
Posts > Add New > Add New Post

Thirdly, go to Appearance > Theme Options > Home Page Settings and assign the newly created category to one of the Featured Block Categories.

Next goal for me is to replace that main picture.

I figured out the main image.

    Create a post

Posts > Add New > Add New Post

Go to Appearance > Theme Options > Slider settings

select a post in the Slider drop down.

    Cheers,
