Changing login screens

First, I would like the login screen to change from having the WordPress header/logo/link to having something indicative of my own web page. It seems confusing that someone visiting my page should have to login on a page that appears completely unrelated to the website.

Second, I would like to have the result of the login take the member from the login screen to the front page of the blog instead of the user admin screen.

I’m running WP 2.7 with the WordPress Default theme. I’ve looked at the wp-login.php screen but can’t figure out what text is the logo or the link, and I have no idea where the link is that is executed when the member presses the login button.

Any/all help is appreciated.
