Changing link structure for static pages
-
Hello all,
I’ve been very eager to use the pages option for wordpress but I’m afraid I’m having a bit of trouble with it. I would like to change the permalink structure for static pages (if that is a good way to put it). The thing is, whenever I create a page, I’d get a structure like:
my-wp-directory/?page_id=2
whereas I want it to be like:
my-wp-directory/about
I searched the forums and I got this topic:

While I’m pretty sure that person was having some similar problem, I’m not sure I can make out all that info. It goes from the problem that I’m having to some function to list all pages. Is there a way to do it with a .htaccess file like so possible with changing normal entries permalinks? I think that is one of the only problems I’m having with WP so far.
