Changing Link name “home” to Posts in 2011 Theme

Thanks but how do I change the name of the post page? I want to use it for Press Releases.

Create & publish a blank Page called Press Releases and make that your main posts page in Settings -> Reading.

Then what do I do with the main posts page? That is the one that I want to use for press releases.

To remedy this, edit the appropriate template file featuring the code of the navigation bar with the template tag wp_list_pages. In 99.9% of WordPress themes, this is the header.php file. Set the parameters to change the link title. In some cases, commenting (disabling) or removing the the line in the theme’s code that displays the ‘Home’ link will do the trick.

Yes, but I need to change the home name to Press Release. I can’t find the right “Home” link in the Editer. I caused a fatal flaw with the last 3 trys.

So you don’t want a static front page? You just want to change the name of the front page to “Press Releases” in the menu? If that is the case, try setting up a custom menu. You can change the name of each of the menu labels in such a menu.
