Changing link attributes in ‘archive’ and ‘category’ views

When viewing posts by archive or category view, the way to jump into the full post is by clicking the post title, which is a link. However, it does not cry out as a link on my site, so I need to change the link attributes. I don’t speak PHP, and I’m a little confused about where the link attributes presently exist for the post titles when a visitor has clicked into a particular category view or a particular month’s archives. Where do I look to make the necessary edits?
