First, I have to say how impressed I am with this plugin. It’s literally been years that I’ve been looking for something that does this and actually work, so well done Allen, and thank you!

My question is how do I format the posts which are generated by “Feed to Post”? Ideally I would like it so that the story appears alongside the picture, or in fact so that the original formatting used in the feed (some amateur table tr td stuff) gets brought across to the newly formed post. And I really need to ditch the centered text.

    Here’s the feed I’m using: https://feed43.com/featured.xml

    Many thanks!

What you need to do is choose “give me everything” when you choose how much text to show. This will give you a straight dump of everything in the content tag of the RSS item.

Okay thanks. I did this, but now I have no featured image for each post, and for some reason the images it’s producing are much smaller than the 150×150 they should be.

    Here is what I get

Note…the images are the exact same size as the images in the RSS feed.

Okay, turns out it was a problem with my theme rather than your plugin. ??

But, there’s one more thing I’m having issues with. Is there any way that the WPRSSImporter can match categories to existing ones in my blog, based on whether the category name appears in the post?

So if a new rss entry contains the word “Environment”, then the corresponding post will be placed in the category “Environment”.

I know that Autoblogged has this functionality, and I’ve had a look at the categories tab, but I don’t think that’s what I’m looking for.

yes, go to the bottom of the feed to post admin page and you can match the plugin categories to your blog categories
