I’m making a bilingual site and would really like to change text and messages to the other language (Lithuanian). Since my website will only be up until the Summer of 2016, I was thinking of going into the plugin folder, changing the version number, and editing the files. I know this is frowned upon but since the site won’t be up a long time it is the perfect solution; furthermore, I only would need to change a few things (Subscribe btn, placeholder, error msg, success msg)

That being said, the files are a bit overwhelming. Would you be able to point me to the right files for the above criteria?

  • Use free plugin Codestyling Localization – you can translate any words in anyt theme/plugin from admin, no need to go to plugin files.

Also, MailPoet has Lithuanian translation, if in your Settings->General language is set to Lithuanian, all should be in Lithuanian.

If not, I believe the newest .po/.mo files can be found here: https://www.transifex.com/projects/p/wysija/

I am using the free plugin, I don’t have a General tab.

Also with Codestyling Localization the plugins I want to translate all have errors so I can’t proceed.

MailPoet will only work with the language of your WordPress. Unfortunately we don’t support 2 languages running at the same time right now.
